About Us:
Dave - I have an all consuming passion for photography.  It is my art, it is who I am.
My career in photography started 37 years ago as a hobby that grew out of control.  For the past 33 years, I have been one of Western New York's leading advertising photographers. With a keen eye for fashion, my early work encompassed clients such as, L.L. Berger, Jenss, AM&A's as well as Tuxedo Junction, whom I have had a 27 year relationship with, photographing their beautiful catalogs.
My corporate work includes top notch clients as, Rich Products, Tuxedo Junction, Moog Incorporated, Saint Gobain, First Niagara Bank, U.S. Foodservice, the Buffalo News and Buffalo Magazine.  My love for photography does not end with my work clientele.  I have also been a photographic educator for the past 16 years, teaching traditional black & white photography at Bishop Timon St. Jude High School.  I have had a few unsung mentors on my way to developing my photographic style, and I feel it a privilege for me to share my knowledge with young minds.
Liz - At an early age I developed my talent for drawing and painting, especially watercolor painting.  While attending college as a Fine Art Major, my interest led to education.  After graduating as a Art Education Major, I taught in the Buffalo Diocese Parochial School System for 14 years.  Always striving to develop my creativity, I became involved in photography.  My macro photographs of flowers uses a format that is aesthetically intense and vibrant.  These images were so beautiful that I wanted to share them with others. "Pretty Flower" blossomed into a greeting card business.
Fourteen years ago we received many requests from friends and family to photograph their weddings.  With much consideration and commitment, we decided to start a wedding and portrait photography business.  My husband Dave is our lead photographer, and I am his second photographer and styling assistant. We work extremely well together, with Dave's knowledge of lighting and technology, and my creativity, we make a great team.

Frequently asked questions:

How many pictures will we get?  The number of photographs taken depends on a few things - what wedding package you choose and hours of coverage.  We generally take between 1500-2000 photographs.

Do we get to keep all of the photos?  Yes, we provide high-resolution digital files on a DVD of all the wedding images (the digital equivalent of negatives).  We do retain the copyright to the images and the right to use them for promotional purposes, competition, professional review, and so on. You will get a written release that will allow you to make unlimited personal reproductions and copies for your friends and families.

What kind of equipment do you use?  We use top of the line professional Canon and Sony Mirrorless equipment.

Can you hold the date for me?  I'm sorry, but we can't hold the date or pencil you in.  To be fair to everyone we can't "hold" a date without a deposit. We accept bookings on a first come/first served basis.

What is your payment schedule like?  A booking fee/retainer of 30% is due to reserve your date, with the final amount due the week of the wedding. If booking under thirty days before the wedding the entire contract amount is due at the time of signing.

If we decide to commission Dave & Liz for our wedding, when should we book?  ASAP, since we cannot "hold" dates or "pencil you in", dates are booked when we receive a deposit. Most of our weddings are booked a year to two years in advance.

Do you offer discounts for off-season or non-saturday events?  Occasionally discounts are available but are based on time of year, Dave & Liz's travel schedule, and availability. If you have concerns about your budgetary needs, please contact the studio and let us know.

Can our family and friends take pictures with their cameras? Will that bother you? Some moments can not be recreated on a wedding day, so we ask the bride and groom to notify family and friends to please refrain from stepping into the church aisle during and after the wedding processional.  We ask you respectively, to mind our presence, as we were commissioned to photograph your wedding.

We exclusively use GraphiStudio albums.
